I wouldn’t call it a frenzy

I wouldn’t call my purchase pattern since Sunday a frenzy as much as I would call it preemptive.  There are things that happen in the month of May like Mothers Day, Brothers Birthday’s, Boredom that I needed to prepare for.  I have less then 2 days to finish these purchases before the May freeze comes in to play.

The move from office to home office is nearly complete and I’m very happy for the most part.  The one down side is that at my desk Oreo likes to sit by the monitors and when I move applications from one screen to the next he gets all cat crazy and tries to move things back.  I also need to somehow work into conversation the need for my ergonomic desk chair to be moved….it’s heavy and the FH is pretty sure he broke a toe yesterday doing some of the heavy lifting…so we may wait a week for that request.

It’s been another rainy dreary day today and as much as I loved the sunny glorious nature of last week this weather is a better reflection of my week.  I know that all the work I’m doing is good and that it needs to happen but it just doesn’t feel as good.  Don’t you just hate things that never get DONE.  I’m trying to establish milestones and deliverables so that I can feel accomplished at the end of the day but it’s a struggle.

The basement really needs to be cleaned out.  For the past 6 months I haven’t really been down there.  The FH carries stuff down and takes care of the cat litter stuff so when I went down there today I felt a rush of OH MY GOD what HAPPENED.  There are a ton of boxes that need to be broken down and either recycled or put into a central place for when moving happens.  Stuff needs to get donated, organized, put away, cleaned.  Oh lord…it’s bad.  I could ask the FH for help but he’s so overwhelmed lately – I think I might ask for help from another source…haven’t quite figured out who yet.  Any volunteers?  I’d make anything you want.

Boy, this wasn’t very interesting.  Maybe I’ll come up with something later.

  1. You tell me when and I will be there to help you! I hate clutter and love to see the finished work! And don’t say “no, your pregnant too” cause that is not ever an excuse when you a single mom with a two year old! I can do anything!!! Well, okay, almost!

  2. I’d volunteer but I fear we may get there, take one look at, say “fuck it” and go out to eat.
