This blog is being written in a whisper today. The FH is home, HURRAY. He’s on his second extended nap – the first nap ended when he was very hungry and wanted to whine about how much his feet hurt. So I made him a delicious salad with freshly sizzled calamari, and then some fresh strawberries with yogurt. The boys and I walked him back upstairs, rubbed his foots and I left the three of them upstairs working on his second nap. I want a nap too…but there is work to be done.
I’m so glad he’s home. We only have a handful of days together before I head off on my Reno/Lake Tahoe adventure with my Mom – I can not wait. I need to head to Verizon to get a wireless card – I’m nervous about the hotel having spotty connectivity. I also ordered the flash and a whole bunch of other stuff for my camera and I’m hoping really hard that it gets here before Friday – which means that it will arrive on Saturday.
I’m making the Katie Lee Joel slow cooker Pulled Pork for dinner tonight. It’s been working in the slow cooker all day and showing either great willpower or extreme laziness I didn’t even PEEK at it until about 20 minutes ago when it was time to “pull” the pork. I drained it – got rid of the fat, pulled the pork, added in the BBQ sauce and walla Pulled BBQ Pork. Let me tell you I had a sample and it was SOooooo yummy – with another 2 hours in the crock pot to really marinate it’s going to be heaven. But it’s a lot of pork. I meant a whole crock full. We can’t eat all this pulled pork. And there is only so many meals you can eat pulled pork at. Note to self: next time make pulled pork when you have people coming for dinner.

You can send some down here! I loooove pulled pork… and I love anything that comes out of the crock pot.
Or send some to me!!! Glad hubby is home.
There is always the freezer!
You’re so nice to your FH! Awww! I am not letting mine read that
You can pass some to my husband. He never gets any since the rest of us are vegetarians. He claims he can’t eat a whole pot of it himself, but I bet he has never really given it his best effort.
