Today I am grateful to Zoot for giving me something to write about. I felt like doing Cass would be lazy.
“List one fact, word or tidbit that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your first or middle name. You can theme it to your blog or make it general.”
C is for Controlling, Capable, Caffienated – So clearly I struggled with this letter. I am all of those things. If I had three C’s in my name instead of three A’s I’d have used all of those. But I don’t so I picked the one that I am right now. And that is Caffienated and thank god really. Sadly – this is not a real word – but I use it so frequently I believe that it is now technically a word. Webster – where are you? Make my word a word.
A is for Assertive – some people use the word Bossy, opinionated, determined like a bull dog is out for dog treats. I call it assertive. You will not cut me off in line – I will let you know that you did so and reclaim the rightful spot. You will not take sole credit on work that I was directly involved with – I will point it out. You will not ignore me – I will e-mail you, IM or call you until you respond. It’s Assertive. Embrace it people.
S is for Smiley – Yes, I do love that smile muscle. And I really like to encourage people to use there’s too. So go ahead use it now…. Smile. Fake it if you have to. haha
S is for Sensible – I’m sensible about a lot of things. Here is something I am not sensible about – shoes. I will pick unrealistically high healed shoes because I like to feel tall…because feeling tall = powerful and I like that even more then being Sensible.
A is for Attentive – I am attentive to everyone. People e-mail me and I e-mail them back – people call and I return phone calls. The FH needs me and I am there for him. The cats want to be petted and have a lap to sit in and I provide that for them.
N is for Note Worthy. This is because I think a lot of things are noteworthy – and I’m constantly writing notes – to do lists, to want lists, grateful for lists…notes. All the time notes. and I obsessed with anything you would write a note on or with.
D is for Difficult. Because this is true I’m not going to comment on it. Do you think that is me being Difficult? I don’t care.
R is for Rested. I appreciate sleep – a lot. I love the ritual of sleeping – the getting to bed routine – the waking up at 4:30 am to discover I get another 90 minutes of precious sleep. I love being Rested. I love having the get up and go to keep going. TO type really really fast. To run. FAST. To push myself harder in workouts and listen when my listening muscles are worn out to a point of breaking.
A is for Adaptable. I think this is something I am most proud about myself. I have a great survival instinct and I can adapt to pretty much any situation. I’ve been in some weird social and professional situations and I can manage my way around many a situation.
Can I mention that I may not post for the entire month of December because I’m finding the pressure of this NaBloPoMo to be really testing.
