What a weekend. It was actually great and nice and everything wonderful you’d want out of a weekend. Stuff was accomplished, other stuff wasn’t. We had a great dinner out on Friday and I made homemade Bolognese sauce for dinner last night and tonight I’m roasting a chicken with all the good stuff (stuffing, green beans and cranberry sauce) Yum…. I also made the chickpea choco chip cookies from the cookbook I’ve talked about before Deceptively Delicious….and I think I can say pretty certainly that even though the directions don’t say to mash the chickpeas – you should….whole chickpeas are okay and everything and with chocolate nothing is ever TOO bad but they could be much much better without whole chickpeas. Lesson Learned.
On Saturday I went up to Stew’s and stopped a half a dozen times on the back way to take pictures (see here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9856351@N05/). I’ve been on a mission to take the picture that I will treasure for the rest of my life and I think I’ve done it. I just love the early morning fog shots, I think it’s because I find such peace in those moments. When I was out taking my favorite shot I was so in the moment of fall; with the chill in the air the crinkly noise that the breeze makes through the trees and the touch of sun that hits your face to remind you that hey, Everything will be alright.
Directly after that shot I was at an intersection and the farmer’s market always has clever signs so when I read this I feel in love. Is it incorrect in every way? Yes and that’s part of its booty.
When you read this you may notice that the corners of your lips have just made a little upturn…that you may actually be showing some teeth and not growling…that’s right. You might be smiling. And I don’t think this gets old. I’ve checked out this picture about a dozen times since taking it and every time I get the same reaction – I’m smiling. So I’m saying this to everone out there reading this little blog that I happen to really enjoy writing: Your Bootiful.
